AMZK Cool Runnin' Rental Policies

1. Driver Requirements:

  • All drivers must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Drivers must possess a clean driving record, and only individuals on the cleared list are authorized to operate the vehicle. Those not on the cleared list are prohibited from driving, as insurance coverage will not apply to them.
  • The primary driver must be at least 25 years of age.
  • An underage driver surcharge may apply to drivers between the ages of 21 and 25.
  • Maximum 4 drivers per rental.
  •  All drivers renting must submit an MVR report. Currently, this can be obtained at the Secretary of State or online for $21. → CLICK HERE to access, or use the button below.

2. Reservation and Payment:

  • To secure your rental, a deposit is required at the time of booking.
  • For “Pay Now” rentals, the card used for pre-payment at booking must be presented upon pickup.
  • Non “Pay Now” rentals can update payment cards at pickup, provided the cardholder is present and has identification matching their name and address.
  • Full payment for the rental, up to the first $1,000, is required before starting the journey.

3. Insurance Coverage:

  • All renters must provide evidence of auto liability and collision insurance coverage.

4. Fuel Level at Pickup:

  • When you pick up your passenger van, it will be provided with a full tank of diesel. We ask that you return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel at the end of your rental period.

5. Fueling During Your Journey:

  • Our Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans require diesel fuel. During your trip, it’s your responsibility to refuel the vehicle as needed. In addition, Sprinter vans require DEF (Diesel Exhause Fluid), which reduces emissions. You can find DEF at most gas stations and auto stores. Your journey will begin with the DEF reservoir full. We’ll go over this with you when you pick up the van. 

6. Mileage Limits:

  • Mileage limits for a weekly rental is is 500 miles and then a rate of $.35 per mile above. Note: this rate is subject to change.

7. No Smoking:

  • Smoking is not allowed in any of our rental vans.

8. Cleaning Fee:

  • Vans that are returned exceptionally dirty are subject to an additional cleaning fee (starting at $150).

9. Roadside Assistance:

  • Your van rental comes with complimentary roadside assistance, which includes services like towing, flat tire assistance, and locksmith services. We will provide you with details at the time you pick up your rental van at AMZK Cool Runnin’.

10. Pets:

  • As much as we love pets, they are not allowed in any of our rental vans. Evidence of pets/pet damage is subject to an additional fee (starting at $200).

11. Onboard Power:

  • Our vans are equipped with power outlets suitable for small electronics including cell phone chargers, laptops and video game systems. It is possible to blow a fuse, or overload the inverter (which provides the power) if you plug in devices that consume too much power. If damage is caused by overloading the system, the renter is responsible for any damages caused as a result.

We understand that plans can change, and flexibility is crucial when it comes to travel. At AMZK Cool Runnin’, we aim to provide you with a transparent and accommodating cancellation policy. Here’s what you need to know:

1. Cancellation Window:

  • We do offer a grace period for cancellations. You may cancel your reservation without incurring any fees if you do so within the specified cancellation window, as outlined in your rental agreement.

2. Cancellation Fees:

  • Cancellations made outside of the specified cancellation window may result in fees. The amount of these fees will depend on the timing of your cancellation and the terms of your rental agreement.

3. Refunds:

  • If your cancellation falls within the grace period and you have made a pre-payment, we will issue a full refund to the payment method used during booking.

4. Modification of Reservations:

  • If your plans change but you still wish to rent from us, we may be able to assist you in modifying your reservation, subject to availability and agreement.

5. No-Show Policy:

  • If you fail to pick up your rental vehicle without prior notice, it may result in a no-show fee. Be sure to communicate any changes in your plans with us to avoid such fees.

6. Weather and Force Majeure:

  • In cases of extreme weather conditions or unforeseeable events beyond your control (force majeure), we may evaluate cancellations on a case-by-case basis. We are committed to working with you to find the best possible solution under these circumstances.
